Abstracts may be submitted for oral presentation (10 minutes, full presentation) or presentation as an elevator pitch (3 minutes, short presentation). 

Following review, abstracts selected will be allocated as an oral presentation or an elevator pitch by the organising committee.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

1. Language: Abstracts must be submitted in English.
2. Length: The abstract body should be no longer than 250 words. The word count does not include the title and authors details.
3. Content: The abstract should clearly and concisely convey the background, methods, results and conclusions of the study or project. Avoid excessive jargon or technical language that may hinder understanding by a multidisciplinary audience.
4. Presenter Registration: The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register for the conference. Failure to register will result in the exclusion of the abstract from the conference.

Abstract Format

1. Title: The title should accurately reflect the content of the abstract and be concise, clear and engaging. Avoid using abbreviations and acronyms unless they are widely recognised.
2. Authors: List all authors who contributed to the work. Include their full names, affiliations, and contact information. Indicate the presenting author.
3. Background/Objectives: Clearly state the background or rationale for the study and describe the objectives of the research or project. Provide a brief context to explain why the topic is relevant to antimicrobial stewardship.
4. Methods: Describe the study design, methods, data collection procedures, and any analytical techniques used. For interventions or programs, outline the implementation strategy and evaluation methods.
5. Results: Present the main findings of the study or project. Include relevant data, statistics, or qualitative information to support your conclusions. Ensure that the results are presented clearly and succinctly.
6. Conclusion: Summarise the key conclusions or implications of the study. Highlight the relevance of the findings to antimicrobial stewardship practices, policies or interventions.
7. Keywords: Provide a list of 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the abstract. These keywords will help in categorising and indexing the abstract for review.
